What You Will Do: • Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) using Java. • Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. • Work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions. What You Will Learn: • How to develop high quality software to support real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) systems. • How to support engineering process improvements, audits and peer reviews. • How to work within a highly collaborative software team and interface with other engineering disciplines as needed to meet program contract milestones. • How to update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities. Qualifications You Must Have: • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: • Relevant work experience in software development using the Java SDK (must). • Relevant work experience in software development using Object Oriented Design methodologies such as Model View Controller. • Experience and/or knowledge in programming multithreaded systems. • Experience in software development using C++. • Ability to engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees. • Strong oral & written communication skills & proven leadership skills. • Opportunities for travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support. • Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms and information retrieval. • Relevant work experience using SW Development tools (e.g. Maven, Apache Ant, Jenkins, etc). • Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.
